#558153 01StarRider52 (User) Junior Boarder Posts: 121 Pretty Nippy this Morning 5 Years, 3 Months ago   When I left the house at 0530 this morning it was 38 degs. Now mind you I was dressed right but it was still cold on the R* on my way to work. It was in the upper 60's on my way home and had a very pleasant ride home. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I like the $120 a week I save and think it is worth it. I have only driven my truck 2 times in the last 4 months and plan on riding all winter here in coastal Georgia. And for those that want to know, 60 mph at 38 degs. has a calculated wind chill of 22 degs. I know this because I looked it up on NOAA web site. We ride when ever we can and if the temp. stays 45 or more and sunny. I'll ride when it's that cold, only thing is, I don't have to go to work. The only days I don't ride are when its raining when I leave. The hospital where I work has a terrible parking situation but the m/c pad is the close to the tower where our shop located. My finger tips were the only thing that got cold this morning. I bought a pair of deer skin & kevlar insulated gloove that were on clearence for $40 from on line, the list was supposed to $80 so I thouhgt I was getting a good pair of gloves. I'm not saying there bad, but I wish they were a little warmer.
