Well guys, IT'S ALIVE! I finally got her to fire up tonight! I only have $200 in her at this time, that's including purchasing the bike! I won a set of carbs off e-bay for a xs650 and modified them to fit on the xs400! She sounds awsome with just the strait headers! Now that I know she will run it's time to start stripping her!
I know it's spring time, my winter project is running into overtime!,,It's just a project that "I tinker with from time to time"(favorite quote from SlingBlade) I'm just going to take her down to the frame and start painting and slowly purchase parts peice by peice. I think i'm going the cafe' route with this project, I've considered the bobber but I think i'll end up putting too much $$$ into it, i'm going to keep the frame fairly stock but look for or build a cafe' rear body and seat and find a more streamlined tank and who knows what else, home made rearset pegs would be cool on this old bike

I don't regret having 4 bikes, other than I don't have a lot of room to work on them the way I would like to.

alrite wellllll the shovel that started this thread never happened, thing was cheap but woulda been too much work butttttt, i did end up going to the darkside and just picked up an 89 sportster to rigid and bob out...leaks outta both rockers and is pretty beat up but has a lot of parts to re use so im happy...i will try to post pics shortly

I have 4 bikes the first one is my first by chance a Roadstar Silverado first cruser next is my race bike 03 Busa but since I'm a big buy I only run 9.10 in the 1/4 mile at 157mph not great would love to get in the 8's this year, neaxt is my GSXR 750 fun bike to but into in corners when I fell like I'm 20 again. And to around them off is a Yamaha Zuma with a big bore kit fun little bike to ride.

alrity..well with Clifford's help i managed to get many of the parts i needed to build my sportster bobber so that i could finally join the ranks of people on here with two or more bikes!

Have my 05 Midnight Cdn and I still have my '90 GSX-R1127 Streetfighter. It's fun having two bikes with completely different personalities.

I enjoy the GSX-R but I'm seriously considering trading it for a big dual purpose/adventure bike. I live 1/2 hr from the Rocky Mountains and I think it would be fun to get "off road" on a big dually.
