The Road Star Clinic membership embraced the idea to build and donate a highly modified motorcycle to a small community that has welcomed our membership as host of great annual gathering for us. The purpose was to allow them to raise a bit of money to help fund and support their fire, police, and a variety of charitable organizations within the community. Many of you donated selflessly without participating at the event, but did so because of the type of generous folks we know we have around here. Thank you.

In the last 3+ months, we have continued to solicit sales of online tickets from mostly our membership - and you responded. 617 tickets (just south of $6,000) has been completed. WOW.

Last weekend, the Eagle's Bike found it's way to Celina and has begun a new phase of the campaign. A handing off of a baton (sort of speak).

We provided a means for a small community to generate some resources to do some great things. They have not taken this opportunity lightly.

Along with the bike, we provided them 2,350 printed tickets to sell and challenged them to participate in their own success. "It's up to you guys now to make this work".

I just got off the phone with JJ who asked a very simple question... "what happens when we sell out of all the tickets?" IN LESS THAN A WEEK (5 days actually) THEY HAVE SOLD 800 TICKETS. Their membership is super charged up and are carrying the ball over the goal. (BTW, the answer is.... we'll print more). Now, I don't know if they'll sell all 5,000 tickets or not, but they are well on their way seeing they have major events coming up and strong interest. The FIRST ticket sold in Celina was to the MAYOR. They are getting news press and have invited 2 TV stations to this weekends Blessing of the Bikes to gain support. The bike, meanwhile, is finding a semi-temporary home in a mainstreet window display. The community is gathering around this event and questions such as "Who are the RSC people and why are they doing this?". "Because we are people of character and we care".

My heart is beaming. To know that the efforts we all put into this project are being leveraged to a level of support beyond our expectations is truly gratifying.

I would also like to thank the membership here for all the contributions of money and parts that allowed this to happen. This project has been something of a personal mission for me. I have had the opportunity to communicate and meet a bunch of you guys in many different ways of which all were good. Be very proud of this accomplishment and donation. I am also gonna try to be there in Celina this weekend.

Now lets buy some more tickets!!!!!!Trust me when I say that any one of us would look good riding this bike and would be proud to own it!!

If you can sell $6000 worth of tickets to a majority of us who haven't even seen this magnificent piece of artwork in person, just imagine how many tickets will sell to those who are able to soak in this glorious masterpiece with their own two eyes. Everyone's hard work and donations are paying dividends. Well done RSC!
