Might be time for a change 1 Year, 8 Months ago
I learned a lot about my R* on my last big trip. I love my roadie and have loved riding it for the last almost 10 years and 38k miles, a lot of commuting and canyon carving rides mostly 300-400miles. I want to do more long trips as I really enjoyed my last one but the Roadie short falls on my trip have left me pondering if it's time to move onto another bike better suited for long rides/trips.
I've been lusting after the Victory Cross Country since it came out several years ago, I've ridden several on test rides and was very impressed with the handling and how comfortable it was. (I do feel it is much slower than my Roadie though ) The fairing, FI, better MPG, larger tank, big bags and ABS are a big plus. I'm going to look at one Sat brand new 2015 the dealer is blowing out for $15,599, $4k off MSRP. We will see. I love my Roadie and do not really want to start over on another bike as I got my bike setup the way I want it with everything I planned originally to do to it.

Yea, with what they want to give on a trade I'm certainly not going to go that route. $1200 is a slap in the face. If I can get my wife to let me have two I'll keep it cause I still love it for day trips!

Tell the wife what they will give you on trade...hopefully she will say "in that case you should keep it!" lol hope it works out for you. I do like the CC for sure. I have heard them with the tri oval exhaust and it sounds awesome. Good luck with it all and really hope you do keep the R*. They are fun bikes.

My friend just went to one and he keeps buying and buying to get the comfort of mai roadie. The thing is everything seems to cost twice as much, but I tell him about something and he is like, "no I don't need that". Then all his wife hears is that he absolutely must have it. It is great, but it is never ending. Enjoy if you go that route.

I was going through the same thing and just bought a cross country tour. I absolutely love it.

The Cross Country was the first bike that I ever sat on where I wouldn't have had to change a single thing to make it comfortable for me. I just looked at the new CC Magnum a couple weekends ago when I was in St. Louis and man, it was hard not to walk out without at least trying to buy it
