Age 9 Years, 5 Months ago
Has anyone done a survey of the average age on the forum? I started riding again a year ago after 20+ years, and I was concerned that I was to old to get back on a bike (I'm 62). I know looking at my sig pic I only look be 25. I ride with a group of guys that are 53 to 73. When I go into the local bike shops it seems that the majority of people I see looking at bikes are in their 50's or 60's. Maybe it is because of the gas prices, and the older guys are now in a point in their lives where they can afford their hobbies.

My average age is now 54... plus your 62, that equals 116... divide that by 2... average age on the board is 58... so far!

Re:Age 9 Years, 5 Months ago
Interesting questions...6hrtbt3...I'm 52....I rode a lot between ages 15 and 25 and although I had a break of some 25 years I just never got it out of my system. I took up riding again for same reason as I gave it up in the first place, I lost some close friends and thought long and hard about our mortality.

Now that my children are looking after themselves and I can see the years ticking by I thought there's gotta be something better than...HOME TO WORK...WORK TO HOME...HOME TO WORK..

Emu says....another way of looking at this is 'adventure before dimentia'...but in my case I might have left it a bit tooooo loooooong.

Emu same here but just not off so long. I figured what the heck. After loosing a kindney to a tumor I figured if I end riding I would go happy and having fun. If I go from cancer it will be long and painfull. You know my choice!

Let's bring this average down a bit! I'm 29 years young and have been riding since I was 17,,,so I've been riding for 12 years and I don't plan on stoping!

57, but will be 58 in a couple of months, so there sits the average so far. I'd also like to know who our youngest member is. We know Curt's the oldest.
