Hi from 'up North' UK... 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello boys and girls. I've been accepted to join the Clinic, so happy about that!

I've just bought a 2004 Wildstar XV1600 (with only 3k miles on her..) that I want to 'put my stamp on' over the winter months here in Blighty. I used to own a Warrior XV1700 a while back, but moved it on as I was made an offer I really couldn't refuse.

Anyway, I'd just like to say a big hello to all fellow R* riders and Clinic users alike. I've already had a quick flick around the site and I can see there's a ton of useful info to glean from...

My first mod is going to be fitting a 21" x 3.5" spoked wheel up front (bike came with a modified swingarm and a 250 rear end...) and I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to a few links to help make this job easier? I'm especially interestd in being able to fit a HD 21 as they are much more readily available online and s/h, but happy if anyone knows of any metric 'bolt on' 21's available? I did see a few posts about changing axle's and bearings, but those posts seemed to dry up around 4 years back...?

Thanks in advance
Chillo

from Southeast Texas

I'm not sure about 21" metric bolt ons, but the H/D is easy to do. Use you stock axle bolt with reducing bushings for the wheels, may also need some axle spacers. I'm running a H/D 21" front spoke with dual disc and stock yami calipers. You might have to get a little creative with the fender.

Cheers for the welcome lads and also for the info Firedog... I've had a look on fleabay UK, but can't find reducing bushings anywhere. Am I right in thinking that we're at 1" and HD are 3/4"? A link to those illlusive bearings would be apreciated... Nice ride you have there BTW...!
