New pipes a little back fire 10 Months, 1 Week ago  
As some of you guys know i changed my pipes from sampsons to these in the pic
now i am getting a back fire sound not all the time but was wondering what i can do about it
ANY ideas?

have you re-torqued your exhaust bolts after taking a ride. They need checked again.. could have a slight leak?????

Hey Cike
I had to loosen the top exhaust today and lower it .
So first ride with it moved
But it was making a back fire sound before i moved it
And i will re T again

Part 1: What Cike said.

Part 2: any pipe less than about 30 inches long can cause popping on these things, even with a baffle installed. That pipe style makes for a real short run on the aft jug.

Did you use new gaskets or resurface the old ones. You also need to reset your PMS after changing the pipes.

Curt i used
New yamaha gaskets
I was talking to Dave and he said try turning the pms screw out 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and see if that helps
