Here's the Grizzly float valve part # - 2C6-14190-30-00 That number is used on the 2002-2008 660 Yamaha grizzly and is about $16 online.

That 2.5 float valve in the article no longer applies and should have some kind of warning in the article.

Done ... I updated the article.

I'm runnung the same setup on my 05, but I went with the clip in the 3rd postion w/spacer and 2 shims. Mine's running really good right now.

I made a discovery and made another change... (profile has also been updated)

I rechecked my float and it was way high. I was showing signs of being pretty rich (lots of carbon and a little bucking while cruising).

Long story short, I lowered the float level, went back up to the 172.5 main, switched back to the 35 pilot and went out 3.5 on the PMS.

After a little riding, I tweaked the PMS to 3.25 and she is running pretty good, finally.

I am putting this thread to bed. Lessons learned...

1- BEFORE you do any jetting, make positively sure that the float is indeed set correctly. Each circuit really does feed off the other on these CV carbs

2- Use the recommended jetting from the kit as a baseline and tweak from there. If it ain't right, something else might be wrong. Such as intake leak, exhaust leak, float level, etc...

3- Don't be afraid to ask questions. There are lots of super helpful people here in this group and to all of you, I could NOT have done this without you! Thank you...

I will be looking at eliminating the fuel pump... Thanks for the part number and update Tex and Doc!

The other thing I never did was adjust the valves. Didn't realize we had to on the Roadie's. Thought they were fully self adjusting.

I did some video's throughout the process and will edit them and submit them for some tech tips. Hope they end up being of some value for you...

Safe riding everyone!

Quick question.... do you still use a fuel filter with this mod?
