Platinum Boarder Posts: 3169 LED turn signal conversion 5 Months, 1 Week ago   I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread or two about this but can't find it in the tech section,so the deal is,I've got the integrated tailight but I want to lose the lollipops on the front. I've got load equalizers now to keep my flash rate under control,what will I need to do to go LED on the front ?   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access. #1022181 Bigrigme (User) Chris Platinum Boarder Posts: 3176 Re:LED turn signal conversion 5 Months, 1 Week ago   Depending on the load equalizers that you have they may not work enough to cover 4 led circuits. You might need more or switch to a 4 circuit load equalizer. To get rid of the lollipops there are few different options. Custom Dynamics makes led rings that go around the fork legs and blink Amber. I have seen the lower tree covered with a chrome cover that has flush mount LED strips built in that can be word for blinkers. Lug_Nut on here even has an aftermarket headlight that the outer rim has LEDs surrounding the housing that blink individually for blinkers. You can by aftermarket flashers units, and there is a mod to cut our flasher open and and a resister. LEDs do not draw as much current as incandescent bulbs, the way flashing units are designed drawing less current makes the lights flash faster. A load equalizer simply makes sure your new LEDs end up drawing as much current as your old lights. I don't really nitice it it so it works for me. I used radiance for the turn signals. I bought the replacement passing lights on Amazon I bought used Rivco LED mirrors and a Truck light replacement headlight from a member. I am currently running load resistors, but I might remove them because after reading others input about the possibility of being noticed better with the fast flash. I also did custom dynamics brake/running light controller. I really like how bright the LED turns are.
