#1011730 drumsonly2002 (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 1384 2006 Converting to spokes brake question 9 Months ago   I understand the front brake calipers need to be changed when going from alloy to spoke rims. Found a set of dual calipers from a 99 Road Star. Will these bolt onto the 2006? Do I have to change the rear caliper also? Thanks.   Logged     If it is broke, fix it. They do not need to be changed. If they do then they would need to be changed when going from spoke to cast wheels also and I have done that on a couple of occasions without a problem. I have even changed the front to a HD wheel and used the stock caliper with mount spacers. That is correct.... 1600 ... floating calipers 1700 ... fixed calipers Just make sure if one compnent is fixed, rotor or caliper, the other is floating.
