Well it happened. My 17 electra glide needs repair 8 Months ago  
Just got a recall notice for my harley. Wouldnt you know its for a oil leak i guess its a simple 20-30min fix. A clamp on a oil line wasnt installed correctly

For the record mine isnt leaking yet

At least you got a recall unlike those early 2000 twin cams built with the exploding cam bearings.

My '17 Road King went in for that recall too and the Service Advisor said out of the like 60 bikes they've looked at for that, none needed the clamps re-tightened. Guess some knucklehead in the plant didn't eat their Wheaties that day and there were a few that popped off........ not good to dump a shit ton of oil in front of your rear wheel while you're riding......

In my business, I have seen new parts fail on expensive commercial equipment. It's the nature of the beast. My next door neighbor has a 2017 E Glide Special Edition. He has #92 out of 100. A super fine bike, collector's item. Also has a 83 Sturges and 2013 Road King. He keeps his bikes mint and never hammers the bikes.
