Hypercharger just for looks? 7 Years, 4 Months ago
Today I start putting my R* back together for a show in Palm Dessert this Sunday. I bought a hypercharger mainly for looks. It is way more work to do the full install but tomorrow and i am wondering if i can mount it just for the looks? Also, if i can, can the flaps be hooked up to a vacuum hose to make them actually work or do I need to stick them open?

PS If yes to the vacuum hose, anybody know where that t junction needs to go. I want to do this today while i have the bike without it new tank on.

You T it in at the vacuum port on top of the manifold, Also if you just putting it on for looks the flappers should already be open when you instal it bike will run just fine open or closed. I had one once the Diaphragm in side ripped it stayed closed for along time till i fixed it.

My 03 came with a Hypercharger Pro. I removed the vaccuum connection and it runs just fine with the doors wide open all the time.
