Captain Richard's BEST is the ONLY thing I use on my bike.

I go the cheap way. A wet towel draped and patted down for a few minutes, followed by a wipe dry with a microfiber rag.

I throw a towel over it soak it down with warm water. let it sit for about
5 min. and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Apply S-100 special surface cleaner
and polish with a soft cloth. My shield is 3 years old and still crystal clear.
And I've cleaned a lot of bugs off it.
I found Plexis leaves a hazy film behind that I just can't get off. Good luck

I use, http://www.invisibleglass.com/HowTo.htm , been using it for years, on the windshield, chrome and paint. I keep a bottle on my bike and in the house, wipe my bike down before I ride, at long stops and after I get back home, go through about 2 bottles a week.

Invisible glass is great for deep cleaning your windshield on your automobiles. Never used it on the bike. Hmm.

I just picked up a used windshield, was pretty dirty. I took my drill with phillips #2 bit on it and took it apart, hit it with the hose and a sponge, 5 minutes later it's all nice and clean. Put it back together with some new hardware and put it on the bike. Nice and clean. Aside from that, windex.

I just called the Invisible Glass folks at Stoner and they do NOT recommend using their product on plastics due to the long term problem if it dissolving the hardness coating and causing the windscreen to cloud or yellow over time.
Guys, be careful about using strong cleaners on the Yamaha windshields. Warm water and mild dish soap or car wash soap will get the dead bugs off and Plexus and Pledge is a safe way if you want to use a spray to clean.

I was at the Pledge store the other day and see that they have a pack of pledge wipes.....any of you fellers tried them? Anyone have speculation as to whether or not they'll work as well as the spray ?
