2006 HD with only 230 miles on it !!! 3 Years, 10 Months ago

Went to my Yamaha Dealers to day to pick up some 20/50 Yamalube & Filter for my 2008 Stratoliner. So I was talking to parts guy and he mentions that they have three Harley's in the store people have traded in. 1 Sporter HD , 1 V Rod & a 2006 Wide Glide with only 230 mile!!!!!

Older guy bought it and rode it home and parked it in his garage, been sitting there since 2006!!! Its a brand new bike & only has 230 miles. It sat so long that the fuel pump went bad!!!! Can you imagine!!!!

Did you see that HD just put out a 29,000 vehicle recall for several models? I don't knock Harleys too much but I know several people that have them and they are in the shops for repair at least 3-4 times per year.

That recall has been out for about a year and a half. "Some of these motorcycles may exhibit a condition in which the hydraulic clutch system may lose the ability to generate enough lift to disengage the clutch," the Milwaukee-based company said in a statement." Scary thought.

We just sold an 81 CB750, had 1500 miles on it, we got it with 600 miles, in 40 years,4 decades! We got it from original owner, there is always a story of why they never rode it, but it is never "I was too damn scared shit of it!".
