Re:Age 4 Years, 2 Months ago
I have been riding since 14, and will be 69 in January..First full sized bike was a 46 Indian. Had a Cushman Eagle at 15, built this contraption (pic attached) in my Dads shop at 14, used a 7 1/2 hp engine off a water well... and various combine parts, and an ole bicycle. I have always had a bike except for 69 through 71. Oh, That is a Bird dog, Coon dog and a cattle dog. All working dogs, not house pets......

Re:Age 4 Years ago
Well Ladies and Gentlemen here is the latest and I added 4 years because of the age of this thread. (this is where that there CALCULUS comes in handy!)

Latest Avg. up to Agpilot on Pg. 53

397 = Riders adding up to 20,259 of total age.
20,259 divided by 397== 51.03 Average Age of Riders.

Oldest Riders (we have a tie) at a young 77 is LOADMASTER and OldBritGit

Youngest Rider at a ripe 20 years old is Roadie Shane.

Seems that alot of us went on an average hyatis of 15-25 years untill getting back in the saddle. Guess raising the kids were important to us. Most of us grew up on dirt bikes/enduros/mini bikes and graduated onto bigger and better bikes.

Re:Age 4 Years ago
I am 28, only to hit 29 in about 3 weeks. I started on a moped for years before my drivers license, then moved up from there. this will be my first season with a R* and I am really looking forward to it. I do ride mostly solo as well. I have a few friends with crotch rockets but they are idiotic at times to be seen with, wheelies and such. I mostly ride for my own enjoyment, the release of emotions and anger. Works good!

Re:Age 4 Years ago
I started riding dirt bikes at the age 11. I then rode 3 wheelers and then 3 weeks after my 16th birthday I bought a Honda V65 magna. After that I was hooked forever. I just turned 39.

Re:Age 4 Years ago
I'm so old, I can't remember if I've already posted in this thread, and I'm damn sure not going to read all 52 pages to see if I did So I'll just re-post: I'm now 49, and yeah, I was here when this thread started

I first rode solo in 1970 at the age of five. My brother's Honda CT70, in that cool glittery metallic gold color. I couldn't reach the foot pegs, but my dad told me if I could ride a bicycle I could ride the motorcycle! He had to catch me when I needed to stop I'm sure Child Protective Services would have something to say about it these days

So, then, like a lot of others, watched On Any Sunday, became obsessed, rode dirt bikes until I could ride on the street. Sportbikes in the 1980s along with motocross, then did some road racing. Then a looooong break with kids and career-building eating up all my time and money, but with great results (at least with the kids!)

Now, I cruise. My wife and I are still together and riding on our days off or the occasional road trip is something that we really love; it takes us back to our younger days.

Wait....was I just supposed to post my age?
