Glad you like your trike Kai. I have a trike with a champion kit but in a turn both of my wheels stay down on the ground.Don't have a lift at all.Enjoy your ride. Ken

Does that mean that you can go as fast as you did when you leaned during a turn with your bike and the wheels don't lift ? I've seen trikes definitely lift the inner wheel during a turn if they go fast enough !!! But if yours doesn't, you must have done some modifications to keep that from happening.

I have been thinking about putting the voyager on my bike. Did you have to rake the triple trees? because that's like another $1000.00 dollars I think. If you did not rake the trees do you get a shimmy at higher speeds? I would like any other info you can share. thanks

Kai, I'm thinking that your drive wheel is the back tire not the trike tires.I don't know the answer but maybe because I only have 2 tires touching that it changes it.However I'm sure you will learn about your trike as you ride it.You have put a fair amount of miles already and I'm sure turning is much easier for you.Well happy camping. Ken

p.s. Good looking trike.

off duty, no I did not rake my forks. According to trike sites, it does make turning easier. But to answer your question. I did not rake my forks. I still want the option of taking off the voyager kit in case I want to. If I rake my forks, it changes the bikes dynamics's if I take the Voyager kit off. I don't get a shimmy at high speeds.

Sprt220, my Voyager kit is engineered so that when turning, my inner wheel during the turn will lift slightly. Thats part of the orientation video on riding the Voyager kit. When turning because each wheel has its own suspension and the bike actually rides on 2 wheels while your turning. The drive wheel and the outer wheel when turning, the inner wheel lift slightly off the ground. Kai

You're welcome. As far as upgrades, I chose the custom kit, black with flared fenders with the tombstone lights. I also chose the flashier wheels and ordered the reverse kit. If you have any mechanical ability, bolting this kit on isn't any problem. They have my bike showcased in the Yamaha Gallery for the Voyager Kits MTC. If there is any help I can offer you when you get your kit let me know. Kai

Riding a trike is a whole different thing. Biggest issue I had troubles with on the variety of one's have ridden is washing out the front tend. In other words if you over cook a corner the front end slides out on you as there is no way to crank more lean in to it....there isnt any. Not in the front.
I'm no fan of trikes but understand those that have them and they are comfy and easy to ride.
