my carb is close now. 1 Year, 7 Months ago
The bike is running smoother than ever until the upper rpm range then the power band falls off. It does not start coughing, sputtering, or anything like that. just doesn't have much power at all.
37.5 pilot
170 main
clip on the 4th groove from the top. 1 washer on top clip, under clip is one spacer, and 1 washer.
PMS us out 3.5 turns
I am NOW running a small generic ac, and some pipes that I don't know what they are. They have a baffle but are pretty loud so it must be a larger dia baffle.
I am thinking maybe a 172.5 main???

Man I miss MISFITT
This one is named Dirtbag. It wont look the same in a few months. did you notice the 21" twisted spoke wheel in the background? I have a feeling some people may not like what I have in mind for this one. I have a plan (somewhat) but I can't really picture it, so it may turn out ugly and i'll have to re do it.
here is another hint.

any thoughts on the carb??

What do you mean by "upper rpm range"? Your jetting should be spot on with the exception of your PMS setting. It should only be 2 - 2 1/2 turns out, not 3 1/2.

feels like the last 1/2 throttle just falls off. I've only taking one 5 mile ride so I can't explain it very well.

I'd suspect the lack of surface area, on that itty bitty filter. The K&N stock replacements, the 2x6 rounds, and the 2x4x7 ovals, have considerably more surface area. Something like 36 to 38 square inches of filter surface, before you even start thinking about unfolding the pleats.

Good catch SP!!! I didn't even notice that little filter in his pic. Cike take the filter off and go for a short ride without it to see if that takes care of your issue

Take off that air filter and see what it does. What happened, I thought you were going with the RC 1624? I just rode mine this morning, uncorked it a little on the hiway. Pulls hard up to 100 mph and beyond.
