I've been to all of the Midwest M&Gs but the last 2. The reason I went to them was,it gave me a different destination to go to each time, and meet up with like-minded folks who enjoy motorcycling. I went to 2 of the Celina M&G. While fun, it's still a 13hr+ ride to go where I've seen already. Also, grandsons b-day is the 25th and my son can't go due to the date conflict. My other son and nephew who went with me sold their bikes, and I'd rather not ride that far alone.

Silver Fox brings up a very important point. He, along with Fireman 922, MS1700, Kyle & Jenny, Darn, Ron, Fast Johnny, JJ, & I, and a few others who's names I can't remember ( at this time, please forgive me ) all rode to Lake of the Ozarks Mo. for ( I believe) the 1st RSC M&G. It was hosted by Kurt ( spudwrench) I believe we had 12(?) bikes. Note to all, probably the best Sat. nite party ever, though I heard Darn's was pretty good also
The point is, we all met for the 1st time, HAD A GREAT TIME, and we decided we should do this again, and again. Because of the great distances some traveled, while some were close by, we should move the location every year. New place, new people, new sights. The west coast & southern guys complained because we had so much fun, but were so far away. We replied, join us or throw your own. Some have done just that. Heard/ read nothing but great times. IMHO, we're getting away from the original concept / spirit of the M&G.
Please understand, this is in no way a slam against Celina, The Eagles, & those who have worked so hard to put on the M&G's. I know how much effort it takes. Having co-hosted an M&G, you people have done a GREAT job

I'm not sure I agree with moving the location, but I do agree with having more M&Gs in other locations.
Besides being a great venue with great hosts, Celina is central enough for 30 or 40 members to easily attend.

I do not ride as hard as the other members, but we have people that are making multiple M&Gs now. Southern M&Gs are growing, Northeast is starting up and Northwest is continuing.

If you have enough locations everyone should be able to find one within riding distance.

(And I still think Warden's shop would work for a Wisconsin M&G.. )

I sold my bike, .........everyone wants something different. I despise group rides.. hate em no interest in em at all.Other people love em....I love to set and talk and meet folks and maybe listen to a band.. other people hate that stuff. I do not drink much, others drink so much they face plant in the ditch in front of the hotel lol......... You are never gonna please everyone.

Some just fall asleep in their car and leave the radio on all night and have to get a jump start in the morning to get to the airport to catch a flight to California.
