To me there's just too much plastic. It looks more like an F6B or a sport touring bike then it does a V-twin tourer.
Said the guy that added plastic to his all steel R* lmao

Yeah, but the plastic still doesn't cover much of the bike

It all can't be metal, the venture is almost 1,000 lbs already. I like it and look forward to a demo ride someday. Still on the fence about the big vents out front. Hopefully they will have some more new bikes coming out in the next few months.

Re:Another new bike from Yamaha 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I was on the fence awhile ago about all the flat black and no chrome. I am now loving it (my F6B is all flat paint). I spend way less time cleaning it and trying to keep it all perfect and shiny like I did my Roadstar. Wash and dry it with a chamois and a leafblower. No water spots to polish off anymore. I don't have time to ride enough let alone clean and wax the thing all the time.

Although the Roadie did look sweet as pie right after a good wash and wax

I'm actually in the process of changing most of the chrome on my roady to black powder coat.

Is December the earliest dealers will have either of these bikes? Could be on my Christmas list.

Bags and fairing, You do know that fiberglass is a trade name for fiber reinforced plastic. I used to laugh to myself years ago when Wreckless was the rage and I had a WOC plastic one pc. fairing on mine, They all said they would not put a plastic pc. of sheet on their bike.

I just meant too much plastic covering up the bike. Most of my bike is still out in the open.

Re:Another new bike from Yamaha 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I'm still on the fence if I like it or not. I did like the comment about the front looking like Camaro. I thought that was accurate. Kind of a "tough" look. Then I see the back and all I see is an old boat T-Bird from the back. Now I'm thinking instead of a tough, muscular cruiser...it looks like a floating boat.

But in seriousness, I'm a fan of chrome and love my R* look when it's all cleaned and glimmering in the sun.

But as many have said, wonder what the support will be like for accessories. You know HD and Indian are going to have a lot. But if you like the bike the way it's shipped it could be a great ride. Time will tell.

I don't see much to change on the Eluder. Black shield, passenger backrest, maybe luggage rack and aftermarket exhaust. I do like the fog light option.
