Wonder if he's already tried to get the "carburetors cleaned"?

I spoke to the owner about it just now and it's still available. I looked up the specs for that model year and they said it was fuel injected. Owner states carbed in the ad. He runs a tow truck and the bike was a tow away so he probably doesn't know it isn't carbed. He says it turns over but doesn't start so we know the engine isn't locked up. He had to apply for and received title due to him putting a lien on the bike after towing it away. He says title is clear and in his name. I'm very interested in this bike. Any advice on what to look for while out looking at it?

I would look for fuel in the tank and a running fuel pump.I don't have an injected roadie but would think the pump would have a fuse. Mike

Never was a carbonated Liner. Clean the fuel system and fire it up!

I don't know anything about fuel injection since I have always been carbonated on anything that I personally work on. How do you clean out a clogged up fuel injection system other than the obvious emptying the tank and replacing the fuel filter. Shores wrote:

DK if the injectors sit in fuel like carb jets do, but I would just give some fresh fuel a heavy dose of Seafoam or Techron injector cleaner and see if it will start. If not, you may have to remove the injectors and clean them, but I've never heard of that having to be done.
