2012 deal, salvage 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
This looks like a pretty good deal to me. My wife told me to stop looking at it.
I hope it sells soon so i'm not tempted for long
2012 1187 miles $4500 looks like it needs windshield, turns. headlight, and has dent in the tank..... I haven't seen it in person so it could have more damage.
If I was to get it (and i'm forcing myself not to go check it out) I would put a fairing on it and aftermarket turns.

Salvage title? Not worth shit since it's a metric.....wouldn't touch it for that much money unless you wanted to try to partition out...

salvage title bikes don't resell well at all, but if someone was going to keep it??? could have problems with insurance if looking for more than liability... i've never had a salvage title bike before.
i'm not buying it anyway, but it sounds like a pretty cheap way to get a nearly new bike cheap that should last for a long time.

Deerkiller just sold his 2012 that was in perfect condition and didn't get much more than that. His would have been the deal of the day for someone here to upgrade to a FI model.

Yep, mine had about 33k miles on it though. Of course it had all the necessary upgrades but it is what it is (or was )

Never been so sad to sell something. It had to be done of course but...

And no, I wouldn't touch a salvage Roadie for that money. Don't care what the years or miles are. Even if it was in perfect condition (repaired).

Salvage bikes can be a good deal if you want to keep and ride. Your options when selling are greatly reduced because most people will shy away from a bike with a previous salvage title. The key for a "good deal" IMO is to purchase for at the most 1/2 the cost of a similar year and model clear title bike. Why go through all the hassle and costs of repairs, and dealing with inspections and low resale if you can do some searching and find a good clear title bike for a little more cash. Example on this website,2007 RS Midnight 54k miles, salvage title $3300. You pick this same bike up for this price with probably less miles and a clear title needing very little work. Just my thoughts.

Way too much for a Salvage title bike. Not even worth buying to part out. The frame is completely worthless and insurance companies will not cover anything more than liability. There are tons of good used Roadies around. Nothing to see there - move along!

Yea, way too much cash for that. If a guy needed a motor or trans or was able to part it out maybe $900.00. I know this much, it'll never move at that price.

I have watched that site in the past and I would bet that it is sold or on hold within a week. Don't think I would go there but if they still have the same luck they did two years ago somebody will. Littlebull

If it does sell for that much it'll probably be to someone who will relist it in the fall for a lot less to try to get some money back after finding out how much of a hassle getting a clear title for it might be.

Lots of EFI Roadstars around in the $5000 ~ $5500 range that have low miles and nothing wrong with them ...

... scroll down further, there's a clear-title Stratoliner S with no apparent damage for $4200:

This fits in here, right? I mean, I can make this fit in here ... right?
