Bassani Tru Duals question 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Who has put them on in the last two years:
What do you think so far?
Best place to buy / price?

I'm trying to make the final decision, bassani or Freedom, any last minute thoughts?

I want to order in the next two weeks and any information appreciated.

Scared of Freedoms due to horror stories of bad chrome...

Nervous of Bassani due to horror stories of yellowing...

I'm in California so concerned about rust near the ocean.

Thanks in advance

I have Freedom duals on mine for the past 2 years and love them. No complaints about the chrome.

Bassani pipes are lower than the Freedoms and scrape easier, you best stay with the stock pipes as your much to paranoid for the duals.

I was also looking at FP and Bassani duals, went with Bassani due to the many reports of bad FP chrome. That was almost 5 years ago,the Basanni
true duals still look new. Never heard of them yellowing, and they don't scrape except diving off a curb or something like that. Floorboards scrape, not the pipes (roadwing shock). Got them from Shane at sscustomcycle.com.

I have had 3 sets of duals. 2-Bassani 1-FP (different bikes)
I love my bassani's. I bought mine from phatperformance.
They are a little louder than FP, but they do sit lower. I don't scrap on curves, but i'm not a fast rider either. If you normaly scrap floorboards don't get the Bassani's

While I would probably agree with your assessment, I need the tru duals to put the RSV bags on my bike.

To all the rest, thanks for all the info so far.

I have Bassani from Phatsperformance. I have then under Road Glide HD bags I have never had them scrap but that's probably due to my riding style. Or lack of it!!!!!😃😃

Re:Bassani Tru Duals question 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I have Freedom performance four inch on my 99 and Bassani three inch on my 01. Like them both. I like the sound of the Freedom four inch and the extra clearance. I like the chrome on the Bassanis and have rarely had them drag. I ride them both in the same type of weather and they are set up the same as far as extras. If it was not for the chrome issues on the Freedoms they would be my choice hands down. I still like the Freedoms better but I'm happy with the Bassanis also. I wish I had been one of the lucky people that got the quality chrome on their Freedom exhaust. Good luck on your choice and hope you get the ones that make you happy. Littlebull
