I think the non motorcycle threads have been very useful. It gives an opportunity for members with issue on a car or house or anything else to access the minds and expertise of other members. There are many tradesmen of different trades that have helped other members save money on other than motorcycle projects many times. It also breaks up the boredom around here sometimes when a good political debate comes along. Just gotta be a little respectful on a personal level when in that debate.  I would hate to see this category disappear. |

So do I. I was exploring the paradox of wanting to increase the census by making the site less interesting. I'm sure my haters will misconstrue this as trolling.

For about a year or two we had a Scavenger Hunt thread running.
One person posts a pic of their Roadstar with something they choose also in the picture.
For example, "Anything Railroad related" - so they post a pic of their bike in front of an old R/R Crossing sign.
They include in that post, "Next one is a pig" so the next one has to find a pig, sign, picture or poster that includes a pig, then posts a picture of their bike with the 'pig' in the same pic.
Their post includes the next pic's challenge "Next is a lake" which the next person has to find for a pic with their bike, and so on ...
The only problem is that at least half the people on the site were snowed in for months at a time so post counts dropped down in the Scavenger Hunt.
We have members in both hemispheres but most are in the northern half of the planet ...
