LOL Smokes... for now, it will be front fender exit exhaust... I'm still undecided on the turbo thing, I've got a turbo sitting around, but I prefer naturally aspirated motors... so the dilemma. Haha
As for the chevy motor in the mopar, I know it's sacrilegious, but I've always been known not to care and do things the way I want them. I did consider a Hemi, even an SRT Viper motor... Did a lot of comparison and analysis but there are a few reasons I went with the LS motor.
1. Reliability- Also, These motors can hold crazy amounts of power.
2. Fuel Economy
3. Cost
4. Aftermarket Support (also supports the cost bullet point)
5. Tuner friendly computer
6. Ease of making power.
7. Piss off all the hardcore Mopar guys.
I have a friend building the exact same year ('70) and he is in it almost $30k already... I'm in mine about 1/3rd of that and further along the process.

One of my buddies in high school had a '69 Dart 340 GTS. His Mom bought it because it was "cute"!! Actually it was her car but my buddy drove it. It was pure stock but because it was his Mom's car I had to keep the trophies we won at the races at my house!!!! Back then there were a lot of cars that could beat us on the highway, but the 340 Darts and the Z28's were hard to beat on the strip. Nice car.

Very cool project!!
If that is a stainless header I would get it electro polished
otherwise it will start rusting next to those welds in the HAZ.
It would not cost that much.
It is charged for by the pound. Just find anyone that gets
that service done on a regular basis and they might put
your headers in with their order and save you some money.
