Christmas Day. 2 Months ago
The good: Lots to eat and free stuff, some of you may have actually wanted.

The bad: Stuck in a room with a bunch of people you only see once a year, which, as it turns out, is way too often.

Good thing New Year's is right around the corner.

I wonder how they feel about being there with you, the other side of the coin. If I only see someone that often I ain,t sharing my Christmas with them. Merry Christmas Steve.

...and that's where we are this year. Just my wife and I. We did a really good prime rib.
Chilly here on the coast, but warm, cozy, and free of aggravation on the inside.
Like Lot and Abraham. Sometimes it is the "distance" that makes the heart grow fonder.

Geez!! .... I'm getting to be an even bigger Scrooge as I age.
I may need to read more Dickens as I traverse this year.

Ohyeah!! Merry Christmas

Re:Christmas Day. 2 Months ago
Yep. Don’t do the obligation thing much the last few years. Did a prime rib with my bro in law and his family (who I’ve been friends with for a couple decades). It was good. And yes, we actually hang out all the time. Love my niece and nephew. No psycho step- mother-in-law because I just don’t put up with that sheot anymore. Life is too short for that nonsense.

It bothers my wife a little bit that I don’t come to anything with that part of the family anymore but I have my reasons and she respects it. She knows who I am and that I won’t put on a face for some dumb sheot because it’s the same as lying to me. And that’s not who I am.

And we went to church service last night that was very stirring. Drove about 3 hours in heavy snow and it was worth every minute. The rendition of “Oh Holy Night” was worth it by itself. It is the night of our dear saviors birth after all.

Merry Christmas to you all. May you find peace in Christ
