The pistol was a 9mm, and it first failed to feed, then failed to cycle. This happened after attempts to fix the problem using parts from a new, in the box pistol. Ammo was Remington. This is what my brother told me, so I don't have all the specifics.

I bet it was ammo then. Remington abd whiye box winchester ammo is weak loaded ammo

Gerry I was in no way implying that your information regarding the FBI and the reasoning for changing calibers on their weapons was incorrect. I was just putting my experience out there, for what it is worth.

I'm sorry also. I was not trying to imply anything either. Just wanted to make sure that it was not being taken as an insult to women shooters.
In this day and age, if your lips move (or fingers type) you have opened yourself to being anti-something. The last thing I want to do is insult someone accidentally. If i'm going to insult someone, I want to make sure it's on purpose!

I've only got a few pistols.
Titan .25 auto
S&W .32 revolver
Taurus 38spcl
Glock 23 .40 cal
Taurus pt140g2 40 cal
Canik TP9SF 9mm
S&W shield in .45 acp
And a ATI 191q in .45 acp

Shooting your shield made me go buy one. Although i got the performance center model. For the better sights, trigger and grip. The ported barrel is nice too but man does it make the slide and outside of the barrel dirty

However after the fact while the stippled grip of the performance center feels great while in your hand it is pretty rough on your sides while in a holster.

I have a few pistols but would like 2 or three more

Glock 23 (compact .40)
Glock 17 (full size 9mm)
Glock 21 (full size .45)
Glock 30s (sub compact .45)

S&w shield 9mm
S&w shield performance center .45

I want still

S&w xvr .460 magnum
S&w .357 magnum revolver
And a glock 32 (compact .357 sig)

The list grows but crap happens

I had a S&W 357 m9del 626 but it was big and not so much fun to shoot. My hands are big but something about the wood grip just got me. Liked the Dirty Harry feel of it. But I just liked a different carry model so went with a cheaper Rossi and sold the Smith and got an M&P and a Rossi and kept the change left over. Waiting to get the M&P 10 in .308 soon.
