You can get $2K from it but don't expect much more. It's sad but it's true.

For the little amount of money you get for selling it you might just hang on to it.

Sorry to hear about the health issues and hope you're back on your feet soon. I looked up your ad and wish I was closer - I always liked that color combination.
BTW, you might want to include "Road Star" (two words) in your description in case someone searches for that. Craigslist treats searches for Roadstar and Road Star separately.

Road Stars are now officially just like boats. They are fun to use, guys are generally the only gender that wants them. They cost more than they are worth. They really don't retain value and will lose value over time. Everybody thinks they are cool and if you have one your in the club. The analogy I heard for owning a boat was the following, "if you want to know what its like to own a boat get in the shower fully clothed with the water on cold while you slowly tear $100 bills in half and your close". Just substitute a fan for the shower and wind for water and you can use the same thing when it comes to owning a bike, it is just a whole lot better in my book to lose $2000 on a bike than $20000 on a boat.
Just keep it fill it with plenty of Star Tron Fuel stabilizer and Sea Foam and ride it to the post Office like you said.
