I removed my smog canister yesterday using the kit from CruiserCustomizing.com. The removal went fine and I didn't seem to knock any hoses loose or bust anything. The problem is that I now seem to have a slight bog or hesitation at about 2/3 throttle from a standing start. It almost acts like vapor lock or fuel starving in some way.

I feel as if one of the hoses needs to plugged. There are 2 to one side of the caniste, and since one is fuel tank vent I figure they are not using a vacuum. The one OUT of the canister is called PIPE, SUCTION 1 in the Yamaha parts list, so I am wondering if there needs to be a vacuum on it.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Well, I blocked off the hose that used to return from the canister and all is well. Good thing I paid 20 bux for 3 bux of parts and incorrect instructions!
