Name Change 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
|
|
Lost one of my buddies last week so I changed my login name from 2dogs to Bee Farmer. My 12 year old German Sheperd died Memorial Day morning of cancer. So now I have one dog. She was diagnosed a week prior with cancer and went down hill really fast. Great dog great companion !!!!! I have about 35 bee hives so I thought the new name fit!!!

Sorry for your loss brother
Truly feel your pain...This little prayer helped me....
Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the world’s sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footsteps falls upon my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshiper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food, that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger.
And, beloved master, should the great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest - and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.
Rest easy my friend.....

Sorry for loss. We had to do the same to our German shepherd this year too. She was 15 years old and just gave up living. What run she had too!

Beefarmer, greatest sympathy for the loss of your Shepherd. They truly are irreplaceable because when they are given that much love they become unique to you. Ultrastar your prayer for dogs is fabulous, i know millions of people love and care for their dogs as their own children but dogs are unique in that from day one to the end they never waiver in total devotion to their master,( just love me and feed me). I have never before seen that put into words so well, Thank You.

Sorry to hear that, Greg. They become like family members. They leave a hole in your heart when they go.
With the space between Bee and Farmer, you may have trouble getting PM's here on the Forum. Your honey is Great, by the way.

Much sympathy for your recent loss, Bee Farmer. Pets are very much family, and the loss of one is great to bear. Thanks for the dog prayer Ultra... although it put tears in my eyes this morning, very beautiful sentiments.
