Ohio roads 9 Months ago
|
|
The wife and i took off this morning for a nice ride into Ohio and back home on this great but windy holiday. Now living in Indiana for all my life the roads here suck from interstate to the county roads, chuck holes with the depth of a bushel basket and a patch over twenty other patches, rough as hell, but once you cross over to Ohio the roads are smooth and well maintained. Even the three digit roads are great, we try to do most of our riding anywhere but Indiana. Now how come Ohio and Kentucky can have smooth roads but Indiana Can't. You guys that live and ride in Ohio have it made. Be safe Kroyleahcim

you must have hit the good part of Ohio. Most of it I finds seems to be way worse than Indiana (except 70 on the east side)
We joke about how bad they are in Ohio.
You should ride north on 75 from Ky to Ohio. Once you hit the Ohio border it is crazy through Cincinnati. (One of the worst in the US it seems)

We usually stay on the west side of the state and never ride interstate (too many big rigs). we ride to our friends home in Columbus and we rode the 555 two years ago and rode down the ohio river east then turned around and rode back home, but it seemed like the 2 digit and 3 digit state roads were really smooth.

I was all over Northeast Indiana today writing. Fort Wayne to Columbia City back to Fort Wayne to Angola and then over across to Pioneer Ohio to the Hudson Leather Factory and then back to Fort Wayne. The roads were half okay and half totally sucked.

Be careful on how loud you complain about your roads. The next thing you know your state government will slap you with some stupid 12 cent a gallon tax that's supposed to fix all your road issues like they did out here in Ca.
Just another ploy to line pockets.

I'm showing my age, I did see the Big Muskie in action when I was a kid. A friend of my Dad was an operator of that giant machine. Of course, way back then we didn't have cell phones, so no pictures.

I did a ride out there for Muskie's bucket a few years ago and the Deerassic Classic. Nothing like riding, a huge piece of machinery, camping, country music and the largest raffle.
