Salutations from Montreal!

Hi guys i'm a rookie to the R* Clinic so i thought
i would introduce myself first. My log on name is
Schism, i borrowed the name from a Tool song.

I have a 2004 R* with a ton of mods on it but it's
still a work in progress, eventually i'll post up
some pics for everyone to see.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the
members for their kind help during this past year
with many of my mods.

Here goes my first question... I am thinking of
installing a set of "Exile Cycles Drag Monster Pipes"

http://www.exilecycles.com/index.php?section=39

Would anyone know if these pipes will fit on my bike?

Thanks!

Bonjour mon ami!

Can you get by with those in Montreal? I was under the impression from those I speak with when I visit up there that loud pipes are sure to get you a ticket. In fact I have yet to hear any motorcycles on St. Deni that have any "attitude" at all.

They look great though... and I wish you the best!

I don't believe there is a set for the R*. You can call Exile and verify.

Besides ... don't you get ticketed for non-OEM pipes in Quebec?

They've been ticketing on and off across the river from me ... one side of the river is Ontario, other side is Quebec. Don't know if they ticket out of province.

Cuts out a lot of nice riding areas.

Thanks for the welcome!

I've been riding a set of 2 1/2" Hard Kromes for
about 2 yrs now and yes they can be very loud "IF"
i open her up however if i ease the throttle and ride
her normally, i could ride right by a cop car without
any problems.

Quick funny anecdote, a cop car once pulled right by me at
a red light and at the corner of my eye i could make out the
officer looking right at me so i turned around and made eye
contact with him "trying not to look too guilty"and
nodded my head and said hi, so he pulls down his window...
I'm imagining the worst right now, Keep in mind the PATA PATA
PATA PATA PATA of my pipes facing his window!"NICE BIKE!"
he says to me "love the pipes, what are they, Vance and Hines?"
"No" I say, "they're Hard Kromes" he gives me a thumbs up, a smirk
and drives off, i almost threw up on my gas tank... no BS this
really happened!

Ok, back to business, I've looked into the exile pipes and they
will fit basically any Harley... i guess my question is, will
American pipes fit on metrics with some tinkering of course?
I'm in love with these style of pipes, i really want them to fit!
