Subsequent research showed that new pipes cost $450 to $600, do-it-yourself was pretty complicated and a bit over my head technically, however http://www.bikerbrackets.com came to the rescue. For $175 I got a more than awesome sound, a great look, and now everybody turns their head to see who let the angry grizzly bear loose on the road.
