Re:What do those pipes sound like 3 Years, 2 Months ago
I am running V&H Longshots on my 2008 Roadstar w/ baffles in. Pipes are not equipped for o2 sensors so I finally had the bungs put in. Also run a V&H chip map which I have no love for as it does not have a map that generic to fit pipes, Barnes Big Air Kit, and O2 sensors so... I end up w/ either a map that runs good is (turns out) very poor emissions (front and rear cylinders are off the charts in disparity) or a map that burns better but currently I have a very big problem w/ throttle cutting out at about 30% throttle (cruising speed) giving horrific stuttering so still at drawing board... Want to upgrade to a different system but $$$ is a problem. But the pipes sound awesome w/ the baffles in and the rest is... well first world problems...

Remove the aftermarket fuel controller and reinstall the o2 sensors. This has been a subject here for a long time and just about everyone with an 08 or newer FI R* has found that a fuel controller does more harm than help. The stock system ign/fuel module is all that is needed and will compensate for your changes.

from Puyallup, WA. Keep in touch. There arent many of us in the PNW. We had a meet and greet last summer near Mossey Rock and may do it again this year in some location. I have a 2008 with Freedom True Duals and larger intake and am running the stock ECU. Runs great.

I know I am not tone deaf, because I tune my Guitars by hear.... But I can tell very little difference in the sound of Roadstar no matter what pipes they have on them... Just that some are louder than others... Sounds like a Buffalo farting in a tinhorn...
