We just got a 2001 Roadstar Silverado in black @ work on consignment.
The owner got the bike 7 years ago from his son in law who rarely rode it, and he's managed to put a whopping 1 mile on it in the 7 years it's been sitting in his garage because he is intimidated by the size & power of it.

REALLY nice clean bike, fresh carb clean & oil change.
Seller is flexible on price but he's not giving it away.

Transmission recall was done in October 2007.
I just added that info to the ads I have up.

This looks like a nice WI deal if you don't mind the miles.

2009 YAMAHA ROADSTAR SILVERADO - $4800

KBB retail is only $3520.00. Chances are it wouldn't even bring near that on a good day. It's still a 15 year old Jap bike. The only Jap bike that's that old holding any value I have seen is the Honda Rune. I realize you work there and need to make a sale, but at that price, you wouldn't be doing anyone here any favors.

I know what year it is. It's not the store's bike, we're selling it for a customer. Clean 1600 Silverados with low miles go for about $4000 around Milwaukee all day and like I said earlier, the bike's seller is flexible on price. Not stupid, but flexible.

I'm glad I don't live there. I only had $3K when I went looking for one. Probably would have never found one there especially like the '06 I ended up with.

You can find Roadstars around here for less, just not 9k mile Silverados that are piped & jetted without a mark on them in nearly mint shape & complete dealer service done last week. Plenty of Roadstar base model beaters around here but they flat out on price in poor shape at around $2800 & usually come with excuses like "it was like that when I bought it", etc. Remember, Milwaukee is Harley Country & buyers around here are used to paying $8,000 for a 15 year old Roadking that needs work and has 50k miles on it. The first thing those guys do is pay the $8k then tear out the crappy cam chain & put in a gear drive unit (like we already have) for about $1000. Show them one of these for less than half the $$$$ and they can't believe it.

BTW, selling this for our customer won't make me a single dime - not that that's anyone's business.
