I wonder if it was a Silverado. It has studded seats and chrome forks.

Those came on the Silver editions my very first roadie was a silver edition and had the studs and chrome front forks. The studded seats ended up on my new one for a while and the front forks ended up on my buddies bike that is currently being rebuilt by me.

I needs to have the recall done (no big issue except obtaining the parts from Yamaha as they are on backorder?)

He said the valves seems to be sticking rather badly and there is a heavy "clank" through the stethoscope when motor is running. It does run but you cant open it up past half throttle without it dying. Said it made him think that the motor is choking its self out at WOT.

Carb needs to be cleaned and rebuilt + Jetted
Cracked intake manifold
Bike running incredibly rich as evident from ultra dark plugs
Low compression on the rear cylinder

He asked if I wanted him to keep going or just button her back up. I asked him to stop.

A lot of that I could fix myself but the engine issues I am not so sure of. I promised my wife I would only buy it if I could get the issues corrected for next to nothing and in a rapid amount of time. I don't feel like fighting this battle currently so back to the seller it goes.

When you bring it back to the seller be prepared for a "ok, what will it take for you to keep it" from him.

Be brutal.

That seat doesn't look original to me, with the butt crack rise it could be a Corbin. Expensive.
Chrome forks, fenders (even with a craked hole in one), fuel tank, instruments, lights, T-bars, chrome forks, wheels/tires, engine parts (or a running core), titled frame, wiring harness, BAK, etc.
All worth far more than the "what will it take" price.

This fits in here, right? I mean, I can make this fit in here ... right?

True but then I have to go through the hassle of either parting it out or fixing it. Plus I would have my wife to deal with.

I have no problem being brutal, I do it with clients and candidates every single day!

Our house is small and I simply don't have the room to house a part out bike. If another member is interested in it then I will happily pick it up for them at whatever the best price I can negotiate is and Buyer pays shipping to whatever zipcode.

I was looking at her not as a second bike but as a quick fix and flip...
