HF is sorta like Fleabay it is either trash or treasure, and you never really know till the item arrives and if it is the same Mfg I'll give it a shot. I have had HF tools break, and I have some that are over 20 years old. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice, at least at HF I can Look Touch and Smell, then decide. Parts #'s indicate something, but what, left or right, front or rear, new rev. something LOL? No matter I am still searching for what I want, and how much not where to get it. I need to collect up some keys from my kids', cuz they are now banned till further notice, then I can start setting up my work stations.

20% off, picked it up from the coustomer pickup, $60 clams... No more twenty point turns on Friday night to place the bike in front of the car. Rolled on that thing, pushed it in place in literally three seconds.... That... works for me...

The store I go to has a store wide sale... Was told they're moving to a much bigger location, was in there last week and dude tells me they're staying there, two stores within two mile radius..... Nice..... Anyway.... I showed him the 20% coupon on the cell phone, he gave that to me too.... Pick up warehouse is on the way home. Might be the best purchase from that store.....

I am glad you said that about lowering because I have not put it together yet. That is a project for tomorrow morning.
I looked at the pdf instructions online a minute ago and they do not tell you that. I would have thought the more one pushed the release pedal down, the faster the descent would be.

It's a decent jack. You just have to remember that when lowering the bike it has 2 lowering speeds. To lower it slow you have to press the pedal all the way down or the jack with drop very quickly.

Dave is right, stomp on the pedal when you go to lower the bike to get the low speed. It will make you pucker the first time you do it. I was originally going to see if I could swap the lowering valves around and tweak the bleeders, but you get used to it pretty quick after a couple of times. I put a 2x6 block under my kickstand before sliding the jack under the bike, and try to have it back in the same spot before I lower the jack. It takes a little of the anxiety out of rolling the bike up to level on the jack and leaning the bike back over after you let it down. But then my 01 seems to lean over on the kickstand a lot more than some other bikes here.
