I'm confused about the valves?? It says it needs new valves. Why????? If they are bent for some reason it needs more than valves. I wonder if he was just told it needed a valve adjustment and a service then was quoted a ridiculous price?????

I'm thinking someone will get a good deal on a bike with SVS.

That or not even SVS. Maybe just needs spark plugs in the rear cylinder.

ok I can attest that here in Denver at least the dealer prices are pretty outrageous for just about any repair. If the guy knows how to ride but doesn't know how to work on his bike then taking it to the dealer for that type of stuff would be instantly pricey.

I was at my local dealer and they usually cut me a deal. I asked them about doing the neck bearings and I was quoted over $750 (with my discount) Repairs add up quickly even if they are simple for the most part.

Since we are in a climate where outdoor toys are only ridden half the year, small shops are few and far between, so if going to the dealer is most peoples only option.

Like with boats for example, tons of people in Colorado own boats but truly there are only maybe 5-6 shops that are worth a damn and they are consistently booked out 2-3 months at a time. Case in point, I booked my winterize appointment yesterday for our ski boat and that still wont be till late October.

VIN in the listing has the letter O in it - no such thing as an O in a VIN.
Replaced them with Zeros and it came back as 'no record'.
Sounds like it could be a recall just waiting to happen.
That's a good thing.

I think this guy is really eager to sell his bike. Look at the gimmicky ad with girls hanging around. Is he hiding anything?

My bike has 30K miles and it runs like a top.

Are we looking at the same ad? There aren't any humans in his ad at all. Just the bike its self...

Gimmicky girls in the ad??? there isn't any girls in that link. You must be looking at Chefturners sig pic. But you are right that at 30,000 miles that bike is still almost a Virgin!!!!
