Hot Licks? Will they work? 3 Years, 4 Months ago
OK......This is at the top of my mod list for the winter. Would be a perfect fit for the theme I have going on with this bike.

Website says its an easy install. I am skeptical. Does anyone know if this will work with my Freedom Fishtails? Do I have to remove the baffles? Would I need to rejet?

The price is cheap enough. I really want to do this! Anybody?

They have good reviews. Just a spark plug igniting the unspent gases in the exhaust. Old tech with new electronics. I'd say buy them if you want them.

Im betting you will have to re-jet to get the effect you want. You have to run pretty rich or ive seen propane injectors used.

A lot of these that I have seen retard the ignition to put unburnt gas in the exhaust. This is not good for the motor. I would bet its even worse for a 2 cylinder than for a bigger motor. I would not do this unless the fuel for the flame is from another source like a small propane bottle.

Definitely! But if you plan to show off every once-in-a-while in neutral, why the hell not. Hold my beer………...

I have looked into this as well. There is two types, pasive and actice ignition. One you rev the motor then hold a momentary button to kill the ignition so the raw fuel is sent down the pipes to the spark plugs in the pipes for a big flame. The other like others said manipulates the ignition so it will idle with flame but smaller. I have wanted to do this about 3 years now but i dont want to drill my freedoms to put in a spark plug and fuel supply lines.......yet packing on the baffles would need to go at the least. And as far as jetting it richer just pull the choke silly

Flames would be cool for sure. If it were me and I wanted to save my motor I would go with the propane torches instead of the unspent fuel route. Plus propane will give you blue flames were as the unspent fuel is basically a single big red flame. Just my $.02
