I'm Debating on Getting a Fairing 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
So I'm on the fence about putting on a fairing on my 05 Roadstar. I've talked with Mike from ED Seats and he is getting some prices for me. What I'm wondering is which fairing to go with, either Reckless or the Tsukayu Double Boox? If anyone has one of these could you post a picture from the front and rear? Also any pros or con about either one? I kind of like the Tsukayu witch is a 1 piece. I spent a little while on the phone with Mike and he was very helpful. Thanks

I've had a Hoppe fairing for years and been very happy with it.

I have the Reckless fairing and Tsukayu bags. Both are made very well. I dont think you will go wrong with either. As far as which audio system neither is really worth what they will add to the cost of the fairing. You could build better for less getting stuff from Crutchfield and putting it in yourself. I will advice to go with the 6x9 in any fairing you get as the larger speaker gives more depth to the sound (whether or not you are a big bass guy) the more range you can get the better it will sound. I wish I would have but I got the single 5-1/2. The head unit with Reckless is a Infinity and is decent but again what they add to put a radio in it is more then you would pay doing it yourself.

I bought the Boox one Storage fairing (the one without a stereo) But it comes with a 1000 watt amp installed in the fairing and blue tooth handle bar controls. This works with your phone thru blue tooth or a MP3 player. You can use blue tooth or the jack that comes with the unit. I think it sounds good! Works with your GPS on the phone thru the speakers.
It does not have a lock for the fairing, I have seen where some people have used a hand gun lock to secure the fairing at the brackets. They only offer the locking brackets on the Harley models?

Well I think I like the Tsukayu Double Boox fairing w/amp and Bluetooth remote( I only use an iPod to listen to music.). I'm checking prices with Mike from ED seats. Very nice guy. If I can get it for a good price I'm biting the bullet and ordering it. The I can get my hard bags and fairing painted next year. The 110 kit will have to wait another year.
