CCW on a bike 11 Months ago
Just curious for those that carry, how do you carry on your bike?

I use my in the waste band holster at about 7:30-8 oclock. Occasionally my shirt will lift and it gets close to revealing my gun.

How do you guys hide yours?

Carry all mine appendix IWB and I'm a fat guy. Even my full sizes get carried appendix. For a good holster look up NSR Tactical they are super comfy.

They don't interfere with your thighs?

With the correct holster, no.

Left side. If it shows, it shows.

Depends on the state. I have seen where in states where CCW'S are required if it's popped out and a cop sees it you can get arrested. Here in VA we are an open carry state so it doesn't matter

I have the OWB, but the IWB is probably good too. I am a big guy and I wear it at 230 ish and it is comfortable and stays cover with a long shirt, but I wear a vest so the shirt doesn't fly up.

It's hard not to notice how many of you guys carry when you're riding. Is it really that necessary? Being a country boy I figure I'm more likely to run into dangerous critters then most of you brown bears, black bears, wolves, coyotes, and moose aren't an uncommon sight here but packing isn't going to make a bit of difference if I run into one of these guys on the road.

Yep, here in Illinois, the last state in the nation that "allowed" concealed carry (after the feds forced it), it is tough.

If the gun even prints, you are now brandishing a weapon.
Easier to go after the legal gun owners than to deal with criminals that will be a challenge for them.

Unless it's winter, it is just about impossible to do.
