Manifold is brand new with new gasket from begining of summer. Maybe I will have to check for leak. Above the mating surface. Checked on the manifold side of the carb. Its harder to check on the manifold side, but the mating surface on the aircleaner side is lower. If you use the aircleaner side you'll be way low. With the carb on the bike, and the bike upright, not leaning on the stand. Yamaha changed the settings so all carbs use the 04 and later setting of 4 to 5mm above. Anywhere from 3 to 5 should work fine. You don't want to get over 5. At least I made it with the right side of mating surface at first !! It might solve my problem.
