If it was mine I'd contact EBC anyway. Like you said the stock spring was dead flat on the counter. Springs are set when they're made. They don't wear in to a different shape.

I think I will. yep there is no reshaping spring steel that's for sure, they barely wear themselves but can wear mating parts fast, which is rarely good.
