I understand that the forum is due to shut down. I would like to volunteer to keep it going. I have 20 years experience as a Linux Computer Consultant. I know how to run bulletin board software and I would be happy to keep this site going. We have to good of a thing going here to have it just disappear. I am thinking the issue is larger than just labor..., although I'm also sure that help is always appreciated and it is great to see the offer. I'd sure like to see this place stay together, nothing will ever match it. Thanks

I'm willing to providing the hosting and tech talent. That's pretty much all there is to it except moderators. I'm happy to do that too with or without the help of others. There's really nothing else to it. I'd love to connect the forum to Tapatalk. I use it for participating in all the forums I'm a member of. The fact the RSC doesn't connect in is the main reason I'm hardly every here. I use my phone for everything and trying to read this forum from a phone is no fun.

Skids,

There are some other dynamics too, exporting the current forum databases so we didn't lose stuff, hopefully into the new one, but I would bet it will have to be an archive site (please prove me wrong!) and then having an established reliable forum software that would easily stay up to date with each stable release update. That would hopefully keep it going in the lang term (say you get run over by a truck, then what?) Anyway, Thinking out loud here I'm sure Gram will fill you in.
