I have a hope for the same... but, isn't it liquid-cooled? If so, I'll stick with our old air-cooled orphans.

Nope, they are air cooled as well

Wait. What?

Are we talking about the return of a new RS?

The new Yamaha Venture has a new motor that happens to be air-cooled - One could hope they will use it in a cruiser too?

Edit to add: Well and there IS the new Yamaha Eluder based off the Venture

Hmmm, not my cup 'a tea, as they say. I'm a cruiser type.

Ah, okay. Knew about those.

Look at Indian. They actually designed the Chieftain first on the drawing board and then took parts off for their first releases and gave us the stripped down versions their first go’round. They didn’t want to try adding fairings and all that stuff to a weak framed bike.

Maybe Yamaha did the same, design wise, and will eventually take all the crap off for a stripped down cruiser for the rest of us.

Wonder if we could get Kai to strip down his new bike to see what it looks like naked, without the fairing and bags and such...

It's been about a month since I took the bike out. Partly due to schedule, excessive smoke from the fires, christmas, and just been plain cold! Yea, been down to 60 some days!!

Just dusted her off and fired her up. Can't believe how much pleasure it brings to just open her up and let the horses run. She roars for more as if to say, "bring it on". So much care free, flawless, strong, full of life pleasure this bike brings me. This is the best bike I've ever owned.

Thanks for letting me share!

I've sure enjoyed mine,it's an '04...had 9000mi on it when I bought ii,I've added a little over 30,000 in 5 years no major issues, just riding pleasure. My midnight is my 2nd rd☆ my first was an 02...It was a great bike also !!!!

I always go and ride the Harleys and Indians whenever they have a test ride event and they are definitely nice but then I get on my Road Star and I think hey, i don't need a new bike, this one rides real good.

Same here, it's part of my job to ride the competition.
Every time I do I think "Wow this is really nice!"
Then I ride my bike off the lot & think "It's sure as hell not $XX,000.00 nicer ...".

We've a big dealer nearby. They host all the factory sponsored test ride events. A buddy and I go for the free food and a ride. And, sure enough, whether it was Victory or Indian, they were nice. Real nice! But, then, we just get back on our old, paid-for, Road Stars, and like you, Bubba, say, "They're not $XX,000.00 nicer... not by a long shot!"
