new speedstar pipes or hc pistons $109 4 Years, 2 Months ago
who needs some pipes? good deal on ebay until midnight tonight http://www.ebay.com/itm/321262598097?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 even has free shipping. I was gonna buy them (only 2 left) just to put up on craigslist and resell but I just bought a new laptop last night and a new roll around tool box the other day. Better for me not to push my luck at the moment.

also have some HC pistons (only 3 left) http://www.ebay.com/itm/221190932701?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Free shipping, too. What a deal.

Wonder how they would sound? If I didn't already have Hard Krome Fatties, I'd give them a whirl @ that price.

Nice find.

I bought that last SpeedStar Long exhaust system from them yesterday. UPS Tracking number says order has already shipped.

$109 for the whole setup including shipping, brackets, hardware, etc still sealed in the OEM factory packing is a hell of a deal.

Funny thing is I do not care for loud bikes. Who knows --- I might get a wild hair and install them one day if I go through a mid life crisis like SKWEARpeg is doing with his Experiment bike.

For sure I would have to put them on if I ever got ready to sell the Roadie. You and I both know these engines will run forever but they make too many noises for a potential new owner if configured with stock exhaust. Some shiny new pipes with a growl will help to sell the bike and they will be ready for another 50-60 thousand miles

Hey Doc_V

what type of rear shock did you wind up using on your bike? Do I recall you trying different types some months ago? What ya got left over?

Do you have one not being used that is an upgrade from the stock shock? (and not a lowered version) I have a shiny new exhaust system on the way and some coins jingling in my pocket.

I could put on my trading / deal making hat if you are interested. just sayin'

Thanks for the offer Drifter. Yah, I did end up going with the Roadwing, but all I have now, is a stock shock sitting in the garage. I sold the one with the Eibach spring. I'd planned to put this one on ebay too, along with a couple other items I have, to help pay down my paypal account and get some much needed new tires.

The Speedstar exhaust seemed like a good idea in the heat of the moment, especially when you consider that after several years and many attempts to make my exhaust work, i.e., perform well and sound decent, while not being too loud, it now looks like crap! But to be perfectly honest, I've finally gotten it to where I like it, [looks aside], and with my luck, I'd be back where I started with the Speedstars. Plus, I have a crossover pipe that I eventually plan to use, to make a true dual system. …Once I can figure out the muffler brackets that is.

I just had to give you a hard time!
