You are correct my mistake. He may be able to get away with that because he is at sea level. No way I can use that that would kill my good gas mileage and he may find the same thing.

I got my HSR45 installed. Prior to the first crank I set the air screw to 2 turns out. It seemed like a good starting place. It cranked fine but the idle screw was way off. I set the idle right and once it was warmed I messed with the air screw. I turned in until it idled rough then screwed it out until it idled rough while counting the turns. I then went half way of the turns and turned bike off. I counted the turns until in fully and I'm at 1 and 3/4 turns.

I tell you what.. it sounds deeper and throttle response is so awesome. I rode it into town to see how it acted through out all but 5th gear. I get no choppy hesitation in low speeds/parking lot cruising as before. It's smooth through out and that baby will GIT! I am way above happy.. best $200 I spent so far on it.

now you have to do the spark plug reading ! and test for fuel mileage, but once you find out yer mileage you will know better what to do then... i think yer real close... it would be interesting to throw a A.F.R. METER and test yer jet settings, thinking the 27.5 would be better, #32.5 PJ for performance PMS @ 1.75

Thanks Curt and Samson. I wouldn't mind toying with an AFMeter. I wouldn't know where to begin with it.
Now as I understand the pilot is really on good for idle to 1/4 throttle.. I can understand it effecting 5th gear crusing at 65mph but honestly I'm usually wot most of the time lol. JK. But honestly I read up that as long as I'm between 1/2 to 2-1/2 turns on the airscrew that I'm good for my sea level. Although on the rich side of things, I did have a 40 in my stock carb lol. Anyone have a spare 27.5? I can always toy with it end of this month when work slows down.

Alan if you start running rich or have poor gas mileage you might want to change your pilot jet to a 25 and leave everything else the same. It may work for ya. You need to take a 100 mile little day trip to see how your bike responds and how well your mileage is. Glad you got your 45 on.

Here is a few jetting scenerios for a reference point only http://www.braigasen.com/hd_mikuni_jetting_chart.htm

my 102cc is jetted close for performance inbetween a Twin Cam 95 and a Revtech 110 taking in consideration of cams and porting and carbs, i jetted close to a Revtech 110 as fer you..... would need to be jetted close to line {#25} HSR45 but with a #167.5 MJ - 22.5 or 25PJ - #97FN with e-clip on 2 or 3 or just run what Curt has in his HSR45 although i did try Curts jetting in my HSR42 it was too rich on top for me....AFR'S WERE 15-16.0

oh by the way i'm at 3/4 throttle most times....

Samson The higher the AFR number the "LEANER" the mix. So when you were running 15-16 AFR on the top end you were running leaner than you are now.
