Changing my speedo backlight 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I need advise. My 04 road star has very dim lighting on the instrument cluster. I took it off the tank disassembled everything and to my surprise my lights are part of the circuit board and can't be taken off. Can I change this or am I out of luck. Please help

You can adjust the intensity of the lights using the Select and Reset buttons on the right grip. At least you can on my 2008. Check the manual.

The lights are in a socket. You can replace them. I replaced many dash lights (yes, I've had a few Roadstars) with LED (High Intensity).

Try these... (Come in different colors if you wish).

I put the RED ones on mine. I started off with Blue, but had to change when a cop stopped me for "having a blue light showing." No ticket, just a verbal.
