The only one I have installed was on a Victory CC. It was plugged into the stock controller as an add on unit. I believe that is also how the one on my buddy's HD was too. With that I think the stock unit is still there and does other functions on the bike and can not run without it.

thanks davej, I sent an email to Kyle to see what he thinks. From what I can tell so far the earlier carb'd bikes have ignitor units while the FI's have an ECU controlling the ignition and fuel. So like you said with the Victory and HD the Dynojet I have also seems to be an add on running next to the ECU. I can see the ECU there next to my battery. I'm just not sure how or why this Dynojet is hardwired into wires under the tank going to the injectors. I thought all of these aftermarket boxes were plug and play. maybe this shop found a way to charge more money?

Some brands are sold both ways.

Plug n play for the not so handy and the other, cheaper kit for the handy guy.

It may also have been a plug/play from another bike brand and the plug connectors were different so they cut them off and hard wired them. It may take a little extra effort to remove but you should be able to find wire colors that match up and re connect them to remove the controller

thanks Ron, makes sense the shop guys would be able to hardwire and might prefer the solid connection soldering provides. So dave you're saying the dynojet is basically in between the wires that need to reconnect by color, correct?

That would be my thought. You now have input wires to the controller that used to plug into what is now output wires from the controller. Refer to a wire diagram if they don't.

Ok, thank you dave. I'll also see what Kyle comes back with and try to remove that sucker. I have some pretty annoying decel popping and the idle that fluctuates some, that's with the dynojet installed and the 02's disconnected. Hopefully this will get it to run a little better all around. -Rick
