2004, 1700 roadstar battery will not charge 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I have replaced my stator and regulator on my 2004 1700, but battery will still not charge, started out for a ride, battery is at 12.83 volts by that afternoon bike would not start battery was just over 11 volts, switched out battery to get home. The bike sits all week battery does not drain, it only drains when riding. What else could be stopping the battery for charging?

You don't really say in your post, but .. does the battery take a charge, and hold it, if you use a battery charger?

what failed that you had to replace the stator and regulator in the first place? or was it just an upgrade.
I will look through the schematic later and see If I can think of anything.

First thing I'd do is unplug the stator and check the AC voltage between the three white wires for acceptable output.
At a fast idle you should see close to 50 volts AC between any two of all three wires.
Where'd you get the stator? OEM or cheap eBay purchase?

bought it from a Yamaha dealer, When I removed it I could see part of it was burnt, copper was fused and black.

Do you have any electrical add ons? Radio/amp for instance?
Wait. Let's go back. The original stator was burnt so you replaced it with an OEM stator,
Or the one you replaced is toasted?
