Re:Roadwings Awesome 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Thanks for your 1/2 penny Rod.
So after looking at their site, I saw what you meant about matching my weight for the spring rate. I've added a Reckless fairing with audio, so I know this add some strees to the OEM suspension. Should I factor this in calculating the right spring rate? I'm 200lbs, so should I add the 30-40 pounds the fairing might be weighting?
Sorry for highjacking the thread, I also will be going roadwing for the next season.

The short answer is no. You'll compensate that with preload. I normally recommend 20mm of preload but would go to 25 if I ran a fairing.

Thanks for your input JD.
Would you also recommend using their emulator?

Absolutely. Although you can improve the front end considerably with appropriate springs and heavier oil, the tuneability of the Gold Valve Emulator will make it ride perfectly, when it is correctly tuned, which is relatively easy to hit to begin with.

Do you tune the emulators before install by driver's weight?
